The reality is that it is part of Israel . Syria is a catastrophe undergoing a civil war and in no position to govern the Golan. Syria`s attack on Israel in 1973 was a good reason to never allow them to occupy the Golan. Syria was intent on destroying Israel both in 1967 and in 1973. Like it or not the Golan was included in the spoils of war initiated by Syria, they lost. It is time to recognize this fact.
